It's a unique canvas iron-on that has been sealed with a waterproof process. The designs are all created by an artist and not "clip art" The covers have been custom sewn to fit a standard composition notebook. This means, when you've finished writing, drawing and doodling in your notebook and all of the pages are used up... you can remove the cover, spot clean it with a damp cloth and put the cover onto another composition book. (The kind that CVS and Target sell!)
